Students and staff from New Caney High School were recognized for their outstanding service at the NCISD Board of Trustees meeting on February 9, 2026. 

New Caney High School Principal, Amber Beard, and the Board of Trustees recognize Donelle Vallejo (Outstanding Teacher), Amanda McElhaney (Outstanding Paraprofessional), Yojaira Sanchez (Outstanding Custodian), Heidi Trinidad (Outstanding Child Nutrition Employee), Jayden Foster (Outstanding Student-Athlete), Emily McCants (Outstanding Student-Athlete), Elijah Thomas (Outstanding CTE Student), and Sydney James (Outstanding Fine Arts Student).
