The Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Amber Beard to be the next principal of New Caney High School. Beard will take over the role for the 2025-2026 school year after serving as the NCHS Dean of Instruction. 

“I am so excited to lead New Caney High School,” Ms. Beard said. “I look forward to continuing to work with our students and watch them achieve great things.” 

Ms. Beard has over 20 years of experience, serving as an English teacher, district curriculum specialist, assistant principal, and most recently, dean of instruction. Prior to working in New Caney ISD, Ms. Beard worked in East Chambers ISD, Beaumont ISD, Lubbock ISD, Humble ISD, and Channelview ISD. Ms. Beard received both her Bachelor of Arts in English and her Master of Arts in English from Lamar University. 

In this new role, Ms. Beard is excited to continue helping students reach their full potential.
